Ova Amerikanka iz Južne Karoline nakon toga ih je stiskala u rukama, dok ju je šokirani prolaznik pokušao da spreči u tome. Ovo se desilo pre godinu i poda na, a Kejli je posle ispričala kako je bila budna gotovo 48 sati, tokom kojih je šmrkala i ubrizgavala met. 

- Uz drogu nestaju svi strahovi. Mislila sam da moram skloniti oči kako bih preživela i spasila svet - kaže. Preživela je, ali i suočila se sa privikavanjem na novi život u tami.

Nakon svega što joj se dogodilo, boravila je u psihijatrijskoj ustanovi. Podvrgla se operaciji kako bi pripremila očne duplje za proteze koje će joj staviti i završila bolnički program lečenja. I dalje se smatra zavisnikom u procesu rehabilitacije, te kaže da joj nije bilo toliko teško postići trezvenost.

Kaylee's Update 💕 - Kaylee has been doing so well at rehab. I have been talking to her since the beginning of the week. They let her call me to say she was okay. But then I got a call from Doctors Care and they needed her insurance number. Of course I was a mess. I asked what was wrong and they explained that she had a very bad UTI. There was blood and bacteria in her urine. So, needless to say, I went frantic. I talked to her head nurse at the facility and she said I could call and keep checking on Kaylee. That made me feel better and Kaylee too. She is now on an antibiotic that is working well! So I just wanted to let you guys know that she's doing wonderful! She was just voted today to be the second chair for devotional when they have their church. She was so proud to tell me! She also got to go fishing and got 2 bites. She loves to fish. My husband got a job today, thanks to one of my dear Facebook friends. I cannot thank her enough. I got up today and was just so down, all I could do was cry. Then I saw I had a message from her. She said to send him in to see the plant manager again and he fills out his paperwork tomorrow in hopes of starting on Tuesday! So thank her and thank God! Thanks to all of you guys for everything.... family isn't always blood and I appreciate your faithfulness and love toward Kaylee and our family! It means absolutely everything to us! Please continue to pray for our family because I believe that all of your prayers to God have gotten us through so much. And I sincerely mean that! Only by the grace of God! Everyone that is here for us..you really have no idea how much it helps our spirit and hope! - Kad te nešto opeče kao vatra, nikad joj se više ne približavaš - kaže ona. 

Kajli ima i ćerku koju je rodila sa 18 godina, a iako dete živi s porodičnim prijateljem, kaže kako svakodnevno razgovaraju i često je posećuje. 

Prihvatila je slepilo jer da nije, kaže kako više nikad ne bi bila sretna. Želja joj je da se preseli  u svoj dom i da bude majka svom detetua. Dugoročno, vidi se u ulozi motivacijske govornice ili muzičarke, a želi da napiše i knjigu. Ali dečijeg sna da postane morski biolog, morala je da se odrekne.

- Deo u kojem bih najviše uživala kod toga - gledanju orki i delfina kako plivaju - sada više nema - kaže ona.
